Fixes

• Git stays scoped to the selected site instead of picking up a parent folder’s repository. Removing a site’s Git repository clears its previous status and remote information.
• Existing repositories that Git cannot read show the error and recovery guidance instead of an Initialize Git button, including when Xcode’s license needs acceptance.
• Control Panel links respect the route resolved by Laravel, including custom defaults in configuration files.
• Static builds and publishing respect the configured SSG destination, including environment overrides and absolute paths. The Deploy tab shows the resolved output directory.
• Cloud deployment dependency installation uses temporary cache, session, and queue settings to avoid requiring a database before it is ready.

Improvements

• Sites without Git show a focused “Enable version control.” empty state with an Initialize Git button.
• Static hosting configuration uses the site’s resolved output directory, and configuration errors include a retry action.

New

• Share a local site publicly from its Overview tab. Sherpa creates a temporary HTTPS link you can copy or open, with no account, token, or terminal setup.
• Sherpa prepares frontend assets before sharing, including installing build tools and dependencies when needed. Progress, cancellation, and build errors stay in the app.
• Share multiple sites independently. Stop Sharing revokes a link; removing the site or quitting Sherpa also ends its sharing session.

Improvements

• Public previews use a dedicated PHP server so generated links and redirects use the public HTTPS address without changing your site’s environment file.
• Sharing guidance lives in a help popover beside Share Publicly. The expiration note appears only while a site is being shared.
• Cancelling an asset build also stops its child processes. Failed or cancelled builds leave the existing frontend preview running.

New

• Environment in the sidebar shows what Sherpa found on this Mac: Herd or Valet, port 80, nginx, PHP, Node, leftover installs. Refresh and copy diagnostics. It’s report-only — changes live in Settings.
• Open Site starts php artisan serve when Herd isn’t answering or isn’t installed, waits until the URL is up, then opens the browser.
• Install official Node 22 LTS for Sherpa from Settings. It stays out of your PATH and is used when Herd, nvm, or Homebrew don’t provide Node.
• Extra Sherpa PHP versions (8.2–8.5) on demand when Default PHP is Sherpa PHP, plus a per-site version picker.

Fixes

• A *.test APP_URL is no longer treated as live when nothing is serving it, so Open Site doesn’t open a dead tab on a clean Mac.
• Leftover Valet fighting Herd for port 80 shows up as an Environment warning instead of a silent 502.

Improvements

• Settings owns PHP, Node, and the Herd download link. Site overview explains how that site will open.

New

• Sign in with GitHub in the browser. Sherpa shows a one-time code (copied to the clipboard) and waits for you to authorize — no GitHub CLI, no token to paste. A personal access token is still an option.
• Laravel Valet is a first-class local server when Herd isn’t installed. Park, link, secure, isolate, and *.test URLs work the same way. Herd still wins if both are present.

Improvements

• Vite and npm pick up Node from ~/.nvm, not just Herd’s bundled nvm.

New

• Rebuilt the Git tab as a real workspace: changes and history on the left, a full-height diff on the right. Narrow windows drill into one pane at a time instead of squishing everything.
• Commit, Push, and Pull are separate actions. A checked file is staged; Commit writes only the index.
• Branch picker, set-aside (stash), hunk include and discard, and commit history with a file list plus diffs.
• Create a remote on any connected GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Cursor Origin account.

Improvements

• Shift-click or ⌘-click files to discard, include, or exclude several at once.
• Stop tracking .env also ignores it so the warning doesn’t immediately come back.
• A conflicted pull leaves the rebase in place so you can continue or abort instead of losing the in-progress state.

Fixes

• Local Herd URLs, homepage previews, control panel shortcuts, and PHP isolation now correctly resolve using APP_URL in .env, Herd symlinks, or folder names, fixing preview and navigation failures when a site display name contains spaces or differs from its domain.

Fixes

• Control Panel links honor CP_ROUTE in .env instead of always opening /cp.
• Local and Cloud environment variables are edited separately — dev values like APP_DEBUG and APP_ENV no longer sync to Laravel Cloud.

• Cloud Environment editor loads and saves Laravel Cloud variables directly, without touching your local .env.
• Deploy no longer bulk-pushes your local .env to Cloud.

• Site clone — duplicate a Statamic project locally with a new name, optional Herd link, and regenerated APP_KEY.

• Starter kit installs no longer fail with “starter-kit.yaml does not exist” when Sherpa’s bundled PHP is in use (no Herd).
• You can’t import the same project folder twice — Sherpa shows when a path is already in your list.

• Import Existing warns you immediately if the folder is already in Sherpa.
